Carin
Bratlie - Artistic Director
Founder & Member Since 2001
Carin is a freelance director, fight choreographer, and acting
instructor in Minneapolis, MN. She is the founding Artistic Director
of Theatre Pro Rata and has worked on every production in the
theaters history in some capacity. In addition to directing,
she has also designed costumes and/or set for a number of Pro
Rata productions. As a freelance artist she has directed for
Theatre L' Homme Dieu, The Great American History Theater, Theatre
Unbound, the Grand Marais Playhouse, Theatre of the Invisible
Guests, Heritage Theater Company, St. Croix Valley Summer Theater,
Chameleon Theater Circle and others. She has assistant directed
for the Guthrie Theater (Third, As You Like It,
Top Girls), Outward Spiral, and The Great American History
Theater, and is looking forward to directing Panic at
Park Square Theater in the summer of 2011. She teaches theater
classes at the Guthrie, Youth Performance Company, and Steppingstone
Theater. As a technician she has worked with Theatre de la Jeune
Lune, 3 legged race, and was production stage manager for Eye
of the Storm Theatre's 2000 and 2001 seasons. She was a participant
director and scholarship recipient at the Wesley Balk Opera/Musical
Theater Institute in 2007, and received a B.A. from Concordia
College, Moorhead, MN in 1998, and is a member of the Society
of American Fight Directors.

Stephanie
Drinkard - Company Member, Resident Lighting Designer
Member Since 2006
Stephanie has been working with Theatre Pro Rata since 2004,
and became a member of the company soon thereafter. As resident
lighting designer she has lit most of Pro Ratas shows,
but more importantly she has worked with other members to shape
the technical practices of the company. Since she joined the
company, she has helped to bring Pro Ratas technical rehearsal
process more into line with the procedures of much larger institutions.
As a member of IATSE Local #13, she has also served as a consultant
for safety measures and best practices pertaining to the installation
of scenery and electrical systems. She has worked as a freelance
lighting designer in the Twin Cities since 2001, and works full
time as a light board operator and electrician at the Guthrie
Theater. She was the lighting designer for Illusion Theatres
production of Sez She, which won an Ivey award in 2006.
She holds a B.A. in English and Dramatic Arts and Dance from
Macalester College. |

Andy Chambers
- Company Member, Resident Actor
Member Since 2006
A Twin Cities based actor and director, Andy has been a company
member of Pro Rata since 2005. TPR collaborations include: The
Spanish Tragedy, The Life of Galileo, Quills,
Machinal and Hamlet as well as all performances
in Pro Rata's Playreading series. Andy has been seen on stage
with several theatres including the Guthrie Theatre, Gremlin
Theatre, nimbus Theatre, Theater in the Round Players, Shakespeare
and Company, Cromulent Shakespeare Company, Behemouth Theatre,
Here Today Productions, In the Basement Productions and Commedia
Beauregard among others. As a director, Andy has worked with
In the Basement and Trinity High School. On camera credits include
Hypothetical Productions' Newton's Disease, Committee
Films' Holy Grail In America and others including several
spots with shopNBC. Before graduating with a B.A. in Drama
from the University of Dallas, Andy took part in more than 45
university productions including a staging of Aristophanes' The
Frogs (as director and actor) at the ancient Ampitheater
at Epidaurus. |

Natalie
Novacek - Artistic Associate
Member Since 2007
Natalie is an Artistic Associate at Theatre Pro Rata. She joined
the company in 2007. Since that time, Natalie has collaborated
on many Pro Rata productions including 365 Days, 365 Plays
of Suzan-Lori Parks, Metamorphoses, Killer Joe,
The Life of Galileo, Monster and Marisol.
As a freelance director, Natalie has worked with the Guthrie
Theater, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Children's Theatre Company,
Sandbox Theatre, Theatre Unbound, 20% Theatre Company Twin Cities
and Commedia Beauregard. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from
Minnesota State University Moorhead. Natalie was a Nautilus Music-Theater
Scholarship Recipient for the 2007 Wesley Balk Opera/Music-Theater
Institute, Director Participant. She was a Kennedy Center American
College Theatre Festival National Selection Team Directing Fellow
and her production of Never Swim Alone by Daniel MacIvor was
an invited production at the National XXXVII KC/ACTF. Natalie
is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers
Society.

Kris Heding - Company
Member, Resident Graphic Designer
Member Since 2008
Kris is a freelance graphic
designer and has worked with Theatre Pro Rata since 2007. Her
designs have been featured in books, magazines, and websites,
most notably Rolling Stone and the Official Franz Ferdinand
Fan Club. Together with members of the company, she developed
the theatres visual branding which is used as a through-line
on the website, all programs, and marketing materials. She holds
an A.S. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh,
PA.

Lydia Bolder - Company
Member, Resident Stage Manager
Member Since 2009
Lydia works as a freelance
stage manager and has been a member of Theatre Pro Rata since
2009. She has worked on several Theatre Pro Rata productions
including The Spanish Tragedy, Marisol, Killer
Joe, and Metamorphoses. Outside of Theatre Pro Rata,
Lydia has worked in stage management with the following Twin
Cities-based companies: Park Square Theatre, Minnesota Jewish
Theatre Company, Bloomington Civic Theatre, Sandbox Theatre,
Workhouse Theatre, Bridge Productions, Starting Gate Productions,
Hardcover Theater, Swearing Jack Productions, and Teatro del
Pueblo. Lydia received her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Concordia
College-Moorhead, MN. Lydia was a Kennedy Center American College
Theatre Festival National Stage Management Finalist at the XXXIX
KC/ACTF.

Amber
Bjork - Company Member, Resident Actor
Member Since 2009
Amber is a Twin Cities-based actor who has worked with Theatre
Pro Rata extensively in the past and formally joined the company
in 2009. Theatre Pro Rata productions she has participated in
include: The Spanish Tragedy, Marisol, Quills,
Machinal, and Slag Heap, as well as several of
the scripts presented for the companys Playreading Series.
Amber has worked with the Guthrie Theatre, Theatre Unbound, nimbus
theatre, Pommelhorse Productions, Killing Joke Productions, and
others. She holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in
Theatre Performance and Dramatic Theory from the University of
Minnesota, Duluth, and has a four-year education in puppetry,
storytelling, and movement-based theatre from the Masque Theatre
and School of Rochester, MN. |

Mandi
Johnson - Company Member, Resident Costume Designer
Member Since 2010
Mandi is a freelance costume designer and a Theatre Pro Rata
company member. She has designed for The Spanish Tragedy,
The Life of Galileo and Killer Joe for Theatre
Pro Rata. Mandi has worked locally with Ordway Center, Frank
Theatre, Sandbox Theatre, Old Log Theater, and others. Mandi
has been recognized for "best costumes" in 2009 by
Lavender Magazine. She received her B.A. In Technical
Theatre from The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN, and
works full time as a costumer at Northwestern Costume Company
in Minneapolis. |

Christopher Kehoe -
Company Member, Marketing Coordinator
Member Since 2010
Christopher is a freelance
performing artist, marketing coordinator, stage manager, and
dramaturg, and has worked with Theatre Pro Rata since 2005, joining
the company in 2010. He starred in Theatre Pro Rata's Monster
(part of the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival), and has performed
with Frank Theatre, Sandbox Theatre, 20% Theatre Company (Twin
Cities), and Theatre in the Round. He has also coordinated marketing
with Theatre Novi Most, and worked as a Marketing Associate for
the Department of Theatre Arts & Dance at the University
of Minnesota and the Minnesota Centennial Showboat. Christopher
graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with
a B.A. in Theatre Arts in 2008, and studies/performs long-from
improv with Brave New Institute. Beginning late 2010, Christopher
will study commedia dell'arte at The Commedia School of Copenhagen,
Denmark.
