based on David R. Slavitt's
translation of "The Metamorphoses of Ovid"
Directed by Carin
Bratlie
March 21 - April 6,
2008
Using storytelling, stagecraft,
and water, Metamorphoses brings new life to ancient Roman
myths of love, redemption, and transformation. With gods in therapy,
mortals transforming into trees and a sea battle that might require
Gallagher ponchos in the front row, Metamorphoses is not
only a breathtaking spectacle but also pays great respect to
Ovid's meditation on transformation, redemption and the enduring
power of love.
